    Christmas in October

With Thanksgiving falling on November 28 this year there will be six fewer shopping days from Thanksgiving to Christmas day.

Walmart will kick off its holiday shopping season before Halloween to make up for the fewer shopping days.  Walmart plans to launch its Early Deals Drop online at midnight Friday, October 25.

Customers can get a jumpstart on their holiday shopping with deals on top items in electronics, gaming, toys, home and sporting goods while supplies last. Some top deals include the BouncePro 7-Foot My First Trampoline for $99 (a $25 savings), the Farberware 3.2 Quart Digital Oil- Less Fryer for $39 (a $30 savings) and a VIZIO 55-inch Class M-Series Quantum 4K Ultra HDR Smart TV for $398 (a $100 savings).

The Hallmark Channel kicks off its ”Countdown to Christmas” on Oct. 26 and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries’ “Miracles of Christmas” programming starts Oct. 25.

Best Buy announced it’s rolling out free next-day delivery.

Next-day delivery for qualifying products is based on product availability and on the time of day the order is placed. $35 minimum purchase is required and applies to ship-to-home items after coupons and before taxes. ($35 minimum does not apply to My Best Buy Elite and Elite Plus members.) $35 minimum does not include digital downloads, e-gift cards, special orders, and any items canceled or removed from the order. Next-day delivery limitations may apply for Thanksgiving week, select promotional periods and weekend orders. Sunday delivery not available. Size and weight restrictions apply. Major appliances, 51″ or larger TVs, and other scheduled delivery items have different delivery terms.
